Moodbidri: Bike-Tata Ace collision claims life of 28-year-old youth

Moodbidri, Aug 30: A 28-year-old youth who had sustained grievous injuries in a collision between his two-wheeler and a Tata Ace vehicle at Gantalkatte on Friday night, succumbed to his injuries on Sunday morning.

The deceased has been identified as Sandeep Poojary (28), son of Shekhara Poojary, a resident of Nuralabettu. He was employed as a mess worker at a college in Kallabettu.

According to the details, Sandeep was riding his bike in Gantalkatte when the Tata Ace vehicle rammed into him. The sheer impact of the collision left him with severe head injuries. He was immediately rushed to Alva's Hospital for urgent medical attention.

Despite receiving treatment in the intensive care unit, Sandeep failed to respond to the medical care and breathed his last on Sunday morning.
