Firing at Pakistani Judge's House, One Killed


Islamabad, Mar 28 (IANS): At least one policeman was killed when unidentified people Wednesday opened fire at the home of a Shariat court judge in Pakistan's Punjab province, Geo News reported.

The incident, which also injured one policeman deployed to provide security to the judge, took place in Multan city's Mumtazabad area.

A federal Shariat court in Pakistan has the authority to examine and determine whether the laws of the country comply with Shariat law, the code of law under Islam.
