Mangaluru, Aug 31: A two-day capacity building programme on ‘Creative and critical thinking’ was organised for the teachers of Carmel School CBSE, on August 27 and 28 to enhance their professional skills and equip them with strategies to develop higher-order thinking skills among students.
The sessions were facilitated by Sumadevi from Delhi Public School and Gururaj Itagi from Sharada Vidya Niketan Public School, Talapady. The programme focused on creative and critical thinking, problem-solving, analytical skills and decision-making.























The interactive sessions included brainstorming, group discussions, problem-based activities, collaborative tasks and reflective exercises. The resource persons emphasised questioning techniques, inquiry-based learning and open-ended tasks to encourage students to analyse, evaluate, question assumptions and explore multiple perspectives.
The programme was an enriching professional development experience that equipped teachers with practical strategies to make classroom learning more student-centred, engaging and thought-provoking, contributing to the holistic development of learners.
