Mangaluru, Sep 1: The students of St Agnes School (CBSE), Bendore, Mangaluru, brought laurels to the school by participating in the 'SDM Fly High 2026' AICS badminton tournament, held on August 28 at the Indraprastha Indoor Stadium, Ujire.
The tournament provided a wonderful platform for young badminton players to showcase their talent, determination, and sporting spirit. The Under-14 Girls’ category witnessed an impressive performance by the St Agnes team, who emerged as winners.
The winning team comprised:
- Angel Monica Biney – Grade 7B
- Sweedal Sanavi Dsouza – Grade 7D
- Ashel Vania Dsouza – Grade 8C
Adding another feather to the team’s cap, Angel Monica Biney of grade 7B was adjudged best player in the singles match for her outstanding performance and skill on the court.
The victorious players received the winner’s trophy, medals, and certificates, bringing great pride and joy to the school. Their achievement is a reflection of their hard work, discipline, teamwork, and dedication to the sport.
The school has congratulated the young champions and wished them continued success as they aim higher and achieve greater heights in badminton and beyond.
