Udupi, Sep 2: Trinity Central School organised an informative session on 'Understanding Adolescence' for the boys of grades 9 and 10, with the aim of helping students gain a better understanding of the physical, emotional, social and behavioural changes associated with adolescence.
The session was facilitated by Dr Sunil Kumar G, MD (Ayurveda), PG Diploma in psychological counselling, who is associated with Dr A V Baliga Memorial Hospital.

The session addressed several important aspects of adolescence, including age-appropriate psychosexual education, personal boundaries, consent, privacy, healthy peer interactions and responsible decision-making. Students were encouraged to understand the importance of respecting themselves and others while making informed and responsible choices.
The discussion also focused on challenges commonly faced by adolescents, including peer influence and the excessive use of mobile phones and online gaming. Through an engaging and informative interaction, students were encouraged to reflect on their choices, relationships and responsibilities during this important stage of life.
The session provided the students with a safe, informative and age-appropriate platform to understand the changes and challenges associated with adolescence. It was an enriching experience that encouraged them to approach this significant phase of life with greater awareness, responsibility, confidence and respect.
