Mangaluru, Sep 2: The students of grade 4A and 4B of St Theresa’s School presented a meaningful and entertaining Teachers’ Day special assembly to honour and express their gratitude to their teachers.
The assembly was graced by Sr Lourdes BS, principal, and Sr Vidya BS, vice principal, whose presence added significance to the occasion.
The programme commenced with a prayer service, accompanied by a beautiful song, seeking God’s blessings and expressing gratitude for the gift of teachers. This was followed by a warm welcome speech, setting the tone for the celebration.
The students then presented a lively skit on teachers, portraying the dedication, patience, love and commitment of teachers in shaping the lives of their students. The importance of Teachers’ Day was highlighted, reminding everyone of the invaluable role teachers play in guiding young minds and building a better future.
Adding colour and energy to the celebration, the students presented an entertaining tribal dance, which was enthusiastically appreciated by the audience. This was followed by a melodious wishing song, conveying heartfelt Teachers’ Day greetings to all the teachers.
Sr Lourdes shared her inspiring thoughts on the occasion of Teachers’ Day and appreciated the wonderful programme presented by the students. She beautifully elaborated on the theme, 'Teachers are the Architects of Tomorrow', highlighting the significant role teachers play in shaping the future. She emphasised that the professionals and leaders of tomorrow are being nurtured today through the dedication, guidance and tireless efforts of their teachers. The principal acknowledged the challenges teachers face in their everyday teaching and expressed her gratitude for their commitment and service.
The programme concluded with a sincere vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the celebration.
