Udupi, Sep 3: Kota police have arrested three persons in connection with a case involving alleged threats, abusive language and intimidation over the storage of government-supplied rice bags on residential premises.
A case was registered at Kota Police Station on August 31. Following the registration of the case, a police team launched an operation to trace the accused under the guidance of Udupi sub-divisional deputy superintendent of police Belliyappa K U and Brahmavar circle inspector Gopi Krishna.
The team was led by Kota police station PSI Praveen Kumar R (Law and Order) and PSI Mahantesh Jabagowda (Investigation), along with police personnel Vijayendra, Sharath and Shivraj.
The accused Nagendra Puthran (37), a resident of Gobbarabettu, Kotathattu village, and P Sumanth Kundar (40), a resident of Paramapalli Padukere, Paramapalli village, were arrested on September 2 near the Exhibition Ground opposite Mysuru Palace in Mysuru district.
Both accused were subsequently produced before the court.
Another accused in the case, Sachin Shreeyan (32), a resident of Mooduhadu village, was arrested on September 1 and produced before the court.
Police said that further investigation into the case is underway.
