Bantwal, Sep 3: The statewide 'Prajaseva Andolana', an initiative aimed at addressing and resolving public grievances locally, will commence on Friday. In Bantwal taluk, the first hobli-level meeting will be held at Polali in Kariangala village on September 5, informed tahsildar Manjunath.

Addressing a press conference at his office on Thursday, he said that the meeting will commence at 10 am at the Sarvamangala auditorium of the Polali Sri Rajarajeshwari temple. MLA Rajesh Naik will preside over the programme. Officials from various departments will directly receive petitions and listen to the problems faced by the public.

Officials from various taluk-level departments will be present at the meeting. Arrangements have been made to provide immediate solutions to issues that can be resolved on the spot. The remaining petitions will be forwarded to the respective departments for review and appropriate action.

The public can directly raise grievances related to roads, drinking water, revenue, pensions, government facilities, basic infrastructure and other issues concerning their villages or hoblis.

Hobli-level meetings every Saturday

In the coming days, the administration plans to conduct 'Prajaseva Andolana' meetings across various hoblis in the taluk every Saturday. Additionally, taluk-level meetings will be held on the second and fourth Saturdays of every month. Instructions have been issued to all departments not to schedule any other meetings on these days.

These meetings will enable people to meet officials within their own localities and find solutions to their problems without having to travel to the taluk headquarters. Tahsildar Manjunath appealed to the public to participate in large numbers and make the best use of this initiative.
