Beltangady: Bike rider killed in collision with lorry at Chibidre

Beltangady, Sep 4: A 45-year-old bike rider was killed after his two-wheeler collided with a lorry at Chibidre near Charmadi on Thursday night, September 3.

The deceased has been identified as Dayananda Gowda (45), a resident of Mugulidadda in Charmadi village. An unmarried man, Dayananda was working as a mechanic at a garage in Ujire.

The accident occurred when Dayananda was returning home on his bike after completing work. Near Chibidre, his bike collided with a lorry carrying vegetables.

The impact threw him onto the road, leaving him seriously injured. He died while being taken to hospital for treatment.

Dayananda is survived by his mother and brother.

A case has been registered at the Beltangady Traffic Police Station.
