Tel Aviv, Sep 5: The Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) carried out strikes against Hezbollah targets in Lebanon after the group launched a drone towards Israeli troops in southern Lebanon on Friday.
According to the IDF, soldiers detected the drone as it approached their position and successfully shot it down. No Israeli soldiers were injured in the incident.

The military described the drone attack as a violation of the ceasefire agreement. The incident occurred while IDF troops were operating within Israel's security zone in southern Lebanon.
The strikes came hours after Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz announced that the IDF had completed an operation to clear Hezbollah militants from tunnels in the Ali al-Taher ridge area.
The IDF said several militants hiding inside the tunnels were killed during the operation, while others fled the area.
The developments have heightened tensions in the region. Iran had warned the United States on Thursday that it would respond forcefully to any Israeli attack on the Ali al-Taher ridge complex, which holds strategic importance due to its elevated position overlooking a wide area.
Katz had also warned that any Iranian attack on Israel could lead to expanded Israeli military action against Iranian targets and infrastructure.
