KCF Al Qassim Zone hosts ‘Legacy Night 2026’ Family Meet in Buraydah

Buraydah, Sep 3: The Karnataka Cultural Foundation (KCF) Al Qassim Zone organised ‘Legacy Night 2026 – Family Meet’ at Buraydah Resort on Thursday, September 3.

The event featured a variety of cultural, educational and entertainment programmes, including children’s talent presentations, Daf, Qawwali, a harmony gathering, Islamic discourse, community dining and various games.

Around 80 students participated in competitions such as quiz, Qirath, Prophet Madh songs, speech, colouring and calligraphy.

A harmony gathering involving representatives of various organisations and social, community and educational leaders from the Buraydah region was also held. During the programme, noted social worker Muhammad Haji Kukkuvalli, who is actively involved in various community and social service initiatives, was honoured with the KCF Al Qassim Inspire Award 2026.

The KCF Riyadh team presented Daf and Qawwali, adding colour and vibrancy to the celebrations.

An insightful Islamic discourse was delivered by Shaikhuna Kootambara Abdul Rahman Darimi, a renowned Islamic scholar in Kerala and Karnataka and the leader of Majmah Sakhafathi, Nilambur, Malappuram, an institution with around 3,000 students.

Various competitions were organised separately for men and women. Women participated in a ‘Cook without Fire’ competition and a digital quiz, while men took part in a digital quiz, volleyball tournament and tug-of-war.

In the volleyball tournament, Harbi Sports Buraydah secured first place, while Kukkuvalli Friends Buraydah finished second. In the tug-of-war competition, KCF Sultan Unit won first place, followed by Baraka Sweets Buraydah in second place.

The attractive digital quiz competitions held separately for men and women also drew considerable participation, with gold coins presented as prizes to the winners.
