The incident left officials and others present at the Assembly premises shocked.
Meanwhile, political tensions also escalated in Telangana following an alleged objectionable remark concerning the Assembly Speaker.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy reportedly described the development as a “black day” for Telangana as protests by BRS leaders intensified. Police arrested two BRS MLCs amid the political unrest.
BRS working president KT Rama Rao (KTR) was also detained by police during the continuing protests.
KTR alleged that the Telangana Police were facilitating the movement of Congress workers and leaders towards the residence of former chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR), while preventing BRS leaders and workers from proceeding towards the same location.
