Udupi, Sep 11: A heavy vehicle that broke down on the slope near Syndicate Circle here has remained stranded for three days, with no removal process initiated until Thursday evening.
The vehicle broke down on the uphill stretch while travelling from Udupi towards Manipal, causing severe inconvenience to other motorists. A traffic signal is located a short distance ahead, making it difficult for buses and other heavy vehicles to proceed or stop during traffic congestion.

The stranded vehicle is not easily visible to motorists approaching from a distance, and they become aware of it only after reaching close to the spot. This is causing obstruction to the smooth movement of traffic.
Although a small bundle of leaves has been tied to the rear of the vehicle, no warning light or barricade has been placed to alert approaching motorists. This has increased the possibility of an accident.
Local residents have urged the authorities to remove the vehicle at the earliest to prevent any untoward incident.
