Uttarakhand, Sep 12: At a time when many young people are still trying to decide which career path to follow, Zaid Khan took an unconventional route. Once a NEET aspirant with ambitions of entering the medical profession, Khan eventually moved into entrepreneurship and built a career in branding, media and digital marketing. By the age of 22, he says he had earned his first crore, and by 25, he had built an estimated net worth of around Rs 5 crore.

Khan is the founder of Zedital Media Private Limited, a company operating primarily in the branding and media advertising space. The venture has become the foundation of his entrepreneurial journey, allowing him to work in an industry driven by digital presence, content and brand building. Khan has also described Zedital Media as a branding and marketing business and said that he expanded the company by reinvesting his earnings.
His journey was not originally centred on business. Khan had initially prepared for the NEET examination with the goal of pursuing medicine. However, his career eventually took a different direction. Instead of following the conventional professional path, he entered entrepreneurship and began exploring opportunities in the digital and branding ecosystem. That shift, he has said, became an important turning point in his life.
One of the defining milestones in his journey came in 2023, when Khan says he earned his first crore at the age of 22. Rather than treating that achievement as an endpoint, he used the earnings to expand his business. His approach was to reinvest in the venture and continue building his entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Khan’s understanding of the changing digital landscape has played an important role in his approach to business. He has emphasised the importance of building a strong digital presence for entrepreneurs and believes that content has become a valuable form of currency in the modern business environment. His experience in branding and media has helped him recognise how businesses can use digital platforms to establish visibility and connect with audiences.
His achievements have also coincided with his pursuit of higher education. At 25, Khan is pursuing his MBA at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, adding formal management education to the practical experience he has gained through entrepreneurship. His journey has therefore combined business experimentation with continued learning.
Khan’s story is particularly notable for the age at which he reached these milestones. His experience demonstrates how a career can evolve dramatically when a person is willing to move beyond an initial plan, experiment with opportunities and learn from the market. From preparing for NEET to establishing a branding and media company, his journey reflects a willingness to take a less conventional route.
For young people aspiring to become entrepreneurs, Khan’s central message is simple: start early rather than waiting for the perfect opportunity. He has advised youngsters to begin by selling something, even if it is worth only Rs 100 or Rs 200. According to him, taking that first step helps build confidence, develop practical skills and understand how the market works.
His journey from a medical aspirant to the founder of Zedital Media, his first crore at 22 and an estimated Rs 5-crore net worth by 25 offer an example of how persistence, experimentation and a willingness to change direction can open unexpected doors in entrepreneurship.
