Beltangady, Sep 12: Usharani from Beltangady taluk has been appointed as a judge of the Karnataka high court.

She was serving as the principal district and sessions judge in Mysuru.

Usharani is an alumna of SDM College, Ujire.

She is the daughter of late Nemi Raj Shetty, a senior advocate from Beltangady.
