New Delhi, Sep 12: India stormed into the final of the Women’s Junior Asia Cup 2026 after defeating South Korea 5-1 in the semifinal in Moqi, China, on Saturday.

Supriya was the star for India, scoring a hat-trick, while Madhu Sidar and Sukhveer Kaur also found the net to complete a convincing victory.

Yuri Jeong scored South Korea’s lone goal, but India maintained control to secure a place in the title clash.

India will face the winner of the second semifinal between hosts China and Japan in the final.

The victory comes after India’s emphatic 19-0 quarterfinal win over Pakistan. India had topped its group, which also featured Japan, Malaysia and South Korea.

India are now eyeing their third consecutive Women’s Junior Asia Cup title, having won the tournament in 2023 and 2024.
