Ballari, Sep 13: High drama unfolded outside a police station in Ballari after a man, reportedly distressed over a family dispute, climbed an electricity transformer and triggered panic among police personnel and locals.

The dramatic episode took place right in front of the Brucepet police station, leaving the police themselves shocked as the situation unfolded.

The man, identified as Ismail, was eventually persuaded by the police to climb down safely after they made repeated efforts to calm him.

A local resident captured the dramatic incident on a mobile phone, and the video has since gone viral on social media.

According to sources, Ismail, a resident of the Mundargi area, had reportedly arrived at the Brucepet Police Station along with his wife.

While at the station, Ismail allegedly got into an argument with his wife. Upset over the dispute, he reportedly ran out of the police station and climbed onto the electricity transformer located opposite the station, creating panic.

The incident unfolded while police were questioning Ismail. He allegedly fled from the station suddenly and climbed onto the transformer, leaving police personnel and people in the vicinity stunned.

With the situation turning dangerous, the police began efforts to persuade him to come down safely. They reportedly spent considerable time trying to calm him and convince him to descend from the transformer.

The presence of the electrical equipment heightened concerns over his safety, prompting the police to make every effort to bring the situation under control.

Eventually, their efforts paid off and Ismail was persuaded to climb down safely, bringing the tense episode to an end.

The entire incident was recorded by a local resident on a mobile phone. The video has now been widely shared on social media, drawing attention to the unusual episode outside the police station.
