Hyderabad, Sep 14: In a shocking incident, a 16-year-old minor girl was drugged, abducted, and sexually assaulted by nine persons over a span of three days in Medchal Malkajgiri district near Hyderabad.
Following a complaint filed by the victim after she escaped from her captors, the police registered cases under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). All nine accused, along with the manager and owner of an OYO hotel involved in the case, have been arrested by the Alwal Police under the Malkajgiri Police Commissionerate.

According to police sources, the victim, a Class 11 student, was subjected to sexual assault on multiple occasions across different locations—including inside a moving car, during a train journey, and in a hotel room—by individuals, including some known to her.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the girl had come in contact with one J Varun while studying in Class 10. A few months ago, J Varun allegedly sexually assaulted her in his car after offering her a sedative-laced chocolate. He later introduced her to another youth, Romala Varun, who also sexually assaulted her after allegedly addicting her to cigarettes, liquor, and ganja. Investigators also noted that the victim had earlier connected with another accused, David Varun, via Instagram, who had served her alcohol and misbehaved with her.
Chronology of the Three-Day Ordeal
The situation escalated on September 9 after the victim's father admonished her over changes in her behavior. Distressed by the confrontation, the girl left her home and arrived at the Bollarum Railway Station.
At the station, an individual named Neeraj approached her and contacted his friend Vicky. The duo allegedly administered intoxicating substances to the girl before sexually assaulting her. Subsequently, Vicky and his friend Nikhil transported her to an OYO hotel room in Dulapally, where Vicky, Nikhil, and two other accomplices sexually assaulted her again. Later that night, Vicky brought her to his house in Bollarum and held her in confinement.
On the morning of September 10, the minor managed to break free from the house and reached Bollarum Railway Station. However, Vicky along with his associate Ganesh tracked her down, forcibly administered drugs, and took her to Medchal Railway Station. From Medchal, they boarded a train to Malkajgiri, during which they sexually assaulted her again.
Upon arriving at Malkajgiri, the accused forced her into an autorickshaw. Seizing an opportunity during the journey, the girl managed to break away, reach her residence, and narrate the horrifying ordeal to her family, who immediately approached the police.
Police Action & Hotel Management Booked
Based on her statement, the Alwal Police registered cases against the accused under stringently applied provisions of the POCSO Act and BNS.
In addition to arresting the principal perpetrators, police also taken into custody the manager and owner of the OYO hotel in Dulapally for failing to conduct proper ID verification and illegally permitting a minor to check into the premises.
