China Seeks Equal Treatment in Australia

Beijing, Mar 29 (IANS): China has urged the Australian government "to remove blinkers" toward investors from China and stop foiling the ordinary business plans of Chinese enterprises.

Foreign ministry spokesman Hong Lei said the products and services of Chinese enterprises were fairly estimated in the Australian market and among Australian consumers, China Daily reported Thursday.

Therefore, China hoped relevant government divisions in Australia could work to provide Chinese investors equal opportunities, he said.

Australia has banned a Chinese telecom firm from bidding, citing concerns about cyber attacks that can be traced to China.
