Tulu film ‘Toss’ trailer showcases Arjun Dev in mass avatar

Mangaluru, Sep 14: “Why do you always toss a coin in God’s name?” — beginning with this intriguing line, the trailer of actor-director Arjun Dev (Kapikad)’s upcoming film ‘Toss’ brings together a mother-son bond, the inner world of a theatre artist, the love story between a Mangaluru boy and a Malayali girl, a tough villain and a stream of humour.

The trailer of Toss was released by Golden Star Ganesh. Interestingly, Ganesh and his wife Shilpa Ganesh are presenting the film under the banner of Golden Movies.

Actor-director Arjun Dev, who has already made a name for himself in the Tulu film industry, has now embarked on a major venture. Toss will be released simultaneously in Tulu and Kannada on September 18.

Directed by Arjun Dev, Toss features a host of talented artistes. Garuda Ram, known for his role in KGF, and Balaji Manohar are making their debut in a Tulu film with this project. Newcomer Sutej Shetty plays the female lead opposite Arjun.

The film is produced by Sagar Poojary and Yogeesh. Dr Devadas Kapikad has penned the story, screenplay and dialogues, while Shaneel Gautham, known for ‘Su From So’, has worked as the creative head.

Devadas Kapikad, Naveen D Padil, Krithi Shetty, Aravind Bolar, Pushparaj Bollur of Bava fame, Bhojaraj Vamanjur, Swaraj Shetty, Roshan Shetty, Shobharaj Pavoor, Chaitra Shetty and others have played prominent roles in the film.

Toss features music composed by Manikanth Kadri, cinematography by Joel Sharman D’Souza and editing by Yashwin K Shettigar.

Toss will hit theatres on September 18.
