Mangaluru, Sep 15: The official ticket launching ceremony for ‘Sumadhur 3’, an exclusive musical concert presented by Sumadhur Sangeeth Academy in association with the Catholic Action League (CAL), Bendur, was held at the MCC Bank auditorium in Mangaluru on Monday.
Anil Lobo Fermai, chairman of MCC Bank, symbolically unveiled the tickets in the presence of show director Stany Bela, acclaimed singer Monica Valder, Ian Pinto, president of CAL, and Samuel Rodrigues, immediate past president of CAL Bendur. Joshal Sweeda D'Souza, the visionary vocalist behind the academy, was also present alongside dignitaries, patrons, and supporters.
Formally releasing the passes, Lobo commended the institution's rapid growth and artistic impact. He remarked that he has closely followed Sumadhur Sangeeth Academy and its students across various stages since its inception, calling the young artists celebrities in the making. Emphasizing the discipline, dedication, and vocal calibre displayed across the past two seasons, he praised Joshal's leadership and expressed absolute confidence that the third edition would achieve outstanding success across the coastal music fraternity.
Sharing the artistic vision of the upcoming production, show director Stany Bela highlighted the musical series' milestone journey. He noted that while the maiden edition successfully initiated fresh creative benchmarks in Konkani entertainment, ‘Sumadhur 2’ set a monumental precedent by generating a charity fund of Rs 1 crore in collaboration with Catholic Sabha, Udupi diocese. Bela affirmed that ‘Sumadhur 3’, set to unfold at the prestigious Father Muller Convention Centre, will feature established industry luminaries alongside Joshal Sweeda D'Souza, promising an evening packed with dramatic stage surprises, grandeur, and musical excellence.
Singer Monica Valder extended her warmest wishes for the project, admiring Joshal's vocal finesse and exceptional pedagogical talent, which she noted is vividly reflected in her students' stage readiness. Expressing deep gratitude, Joshal Sweeda D'Souza thanked the dignitaries, collaborators, and the public for their unwavering encouragement toward the academy’s students and ongoing creative endeavours.
Anchored by the evocative theme ‘One Stage. 250+ Voices. Endless Emotions’, the signature concert is headlined by Joshal Sweeda D'Souza and showcases stellar vocal performances by renowned singers Prajoth D'Sa and Melrick D'Souza. Complete live musical accompaniment will be delivered by the esteemed Sanjay Rodrigues & The Band, while dynamic stage choreography and movements will be helmed by Urban Groove. Renowned comperes Komal D'Souza and Nelson Monis are set to host the evening, with Daijiworld TV 24x7 partnering as the official media partner.
