Mangaluru, Sep 17: St Theresa’s School, Mangaluru, honoured its class X student Achinthya Rai, 1st runner-up of Zee Sa Re Ga Ma Pa – 2026, Mangaluru, in recognition of his outstanding achievement and for bringing pride to the school.

Achinthya was accorded a traditional welcome at the school along with his parents. The felicitation was held in the presence of chief guest Dr Uday Kumar B, head of the department of Hindi, St Agnes College, principal Sr Lourdes BS, vice principal Sr Vidya, and PTA vice president Linda Pereira.

The school recognised Achinthya not only for his remarkable achievement in the field of music but also for the qualities he has displayed throughout his journey. Kavitha presented the citation, highlighting his talent, dedication and accomplishments.

Addressing the gathering, principal Sr Lourdes BS appreciated Achinthya for remaining down-to-earth, humble and respectful despite his success. She highlighted his brilliance in academics as well as his talents in various fields, and appreciated his hard work, dedication and consistency, which have contributed significantly to his achievements.

The principal also expressed heartfelt appreciation to Achinthya’s parents for the journey they have undertaken with him. Their constant encouragement, sacrifices, guidance and support were acknowledged as an integral part of his growth and success. The school expressed its gratitude to the family for nurturing his talents while ensuring that he remained grounded in strong values.

The felicitation was a proud and memorable occasion for the Theresian family, celebrating not only Achinthya’s musical achievement but also his academic excellence, character and the dedicated support of his parents throughout his journey.
