Mumbai, Sep 17: Himachal Pradesh Governor Kavinder Gupta, along with Lady Governor Bindu Gupta and family members, paid a courtesy visit to Maharashtra Governor Jishnu Dev Varma at Lok Bhavan in Mumbai on Thursday.
During the meeting, the two Governors exchanged greetings and held cordial discussions on matters of mutual interest. They also exchanged views on the rich cultural, spiritual and developmental heritage of Himachal Pradesh and Maharashtra.
The meeting reflected the institutional relations and spirit of cooperation between the two states. The Governors also discussed the constitutional and ceremonial responsibilities associated with their respective offices. Lady Governor Bindu Gupta was present during the meeting.

Gupta also extended birthday greetings to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday. In a post on X, he described Modi's public life as an example of commitment to national service, dedication and public welfare.
Gupta said that under Modi's leadership, India had reached new heights and that the country's prestige and influence on the global stage had gained renewed strength. These were the Governor's views expressed in his birthday message.
Gupta also referred to the 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan', being organised from September 17 to October 17 to mark 25 years of Modi's public service. The nationwide campaign was announced to coincide with Modi's birthday and the completion of 25 years of his public life.
In his message, Gupta said Modi had dedicated his life to national service and invoked the principle of 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, and Sabka Prayas'. He also extended wishes for the Prime Minister's long life, good health and continued energy in public service.
The 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan' is being conducted through various service and public-welfare activities during the month-long period. Recent reports said the campaign will include initiatives such as blood donation camps, cleanliness drives and other welfare-oriented programmes.
