Mangaluru, Sep 18: Chief minister D K Shivakumar and all ministers attending the State Cabinet meeting in Mangaluru offered prayers to Lord Manjunatha at the historic Kadri Manjunatha Temple before proceeding to the Circuit House in an Airavata Club Class bus.
From there, the chief minister and ministers were taken in a procession from Pumpwell Circle in a special open Ambaari bus.

Despite the scorching heat, D K Shivakumar appeared enthusiastic as he waved to the people along the route.
Ministers Priyank Kharge and Rizwan Arshad were seen engaging in discussions, occasionally smiling and waving to the public. Shivraj Thangadagi, Rudrappa Lamani and others wore white hats to protect themselves from the sun.
Congress workers and members of the public standing along the route raised slogans in support of the chief minister and ministers.
From Mahaveer Circle at Pumpwell to Praja Soudha in Padil, coastal Karnataka's traditional Chende performers, Hulivesha troupes, Garudi Gombe groups, Koraga flute performers and band troupes welcomed the Cabinet members at various points along the route.
Music programmes and bhajans had also been arranged at several locations to welcome the chief minister and ministers.
