Mangalore, Mar 29: Dakshina Kannada Body Builders’ Association, Mangalore, organized the DK body building championship ‘Mr Dakshina Kannada 2011-12’ (for seniors, masters, and physically challenged) at the Town Hall on Thursday March 29.
Dr K Devraj, principal, SDM College, Mangalore, was the chief guest on the occasion. Addressing the gathering, he said that physical exercise is an important activity in daily life and awareness about this should be created among students during their school days.
Narayan Shenoy, honorary president of the association, Ashok Shetty, president, Dinesh Vaishnav, and Raveendra Rai were also present.
Competitions started at 6 pm and the prize distribution ceremony will be held later at night.
‘Mr Dakshina Kannada 2011-12’ will conferred on the champions in all the three categories.
