Udupi, Sep 20: Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited’s Mangaluru LPG territory has launched the Bharat Gas Zip-Lite (10kg) cylinder in Udupi, offering customers a more convenient, safe and smart LPG option.
The cylinder was launched on Saturday (September 19) at Lions Bhavan in Brahmagiri, Udupi, at a programme organised in association with all Bharat Gas LPG distributors in Udupi district. Lokayukta inspector Manjunath Shankarahalli inaugurated the event and extended his best wishes.
BPCL Mangaluru territory manager Sandeep Kumar Raina, Mangaluru LPG division sales manager Darshit Malviya, former Udupi Inner Wheel Club president Nirmala, and other dignitaries were present.
Students showcase creativity in drawing competition
A drawing competition for students from across Udupi district was also held as part of the Bharat Gas Zip-Lite cylinder launch programme.
The competition was conducted in two categories — the primary section for students of Classes 5, 6 and 7, and the high school section for students of Classes 8, 9 and 10. The theme was ‘Bharat Gas – Clean, Safe and Green Future: Chiguru-Chittara’.
Students brought their imagination and creativity to the canvas, expressing their vision of a clean environment. First, second and third prizes were awarded to winners in each category, while all participants received consolation prizes.
The drawing competition aimed to foster awareness among children about environmental conservation, cleanliness and the safe use of LPG.
