Mangaluru author Reshel Fernandes honoured with She Inspire Award at Ahmedabad Leadership Conference

Mangaluru, Sep 20: Mangaluru-based author Reshel Fernandes, who has earned recognition at the national and international levels for her literary work and youth engagement initiatives, was honoured with the prestigious She Inspire Award at the Women Leadership Conference 2026 in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

Organised by She Inspire Magazine, the conference was held at the Fairfield by Marriott, Ahmedabad, bringing together women achievers, leaders and professionals from different fields. Fernandes was recognised for her contribution to the literary field and her active role in engaging and inspiring young people.

Her books have sought to connect with young minds through themes that encourage reflection, creativity and personal growth. According to the release, her literary work has also earned her a place among the ‘Top 10 Authors’ featured by Literature Today Magazine in January 2026.

Fernandes is a law graduate from SDM Law College and currently serves as the Dakshina Kannada Youth Congress general secretary. Alongside her professional and organisational responsibilities, she has continued to pursue her literary interests and youth-focused initiatives.

At the Ahmedabad event, Fernandes was honoured by renowned actress Vaishnavi Macdonald and Gautam Gaurav, CEO of the HYPEDGE Group, in recognition of her achievements. She was also recognised as the ‘Young Voice of India in Literature’.

The honour adds to Fernandes’ growing recognition as a young literary voice from Mangaluru, particularly for her efforts to use writing and youth engagement as platforms for inspiration and social connection.
