Bengaluru, Sep 21: The Kanara Entrepreneurs (KE) Bengaluru chapter recently held a lead members’ meeting that brought together its leadership team and new members to brainstorm on several new initiatives aimed at strengthening entrepreneurship, youth engagement and community participation.
A key initiative discussed was VisionX, a Christian youth programme, led by Jyoti Menezes, with a target of 100 youth participants scheduled on November 1 at Paalana Bhavana. The chapter is also exploring VisionX programmes in Mumbai and Mangaluru early next year.
Project ACE, led by Rufus Monteiro, aims to create 500 entrepreneurs over the next 10 years through a six-month practical entrepreneurship programme involving workshops, mentoring, field assignments and accountability.
The meeting also discussed a proposed entrepreneurship programme for corporate professionals aspiring to become entrepreneurs, as well as MSME Cluster Development opportunities leveraging grants from the government schemes. With more than 300 entrepreneurs analysed across around 15 business clusters, potential areas include warehousing, waste management, recycling, packaging, testing, food processing, skill development and renewable power.
Other initiatives discussed included KE Sports Mania ’26, AI and technology programmes, the upcoming Christmas Extravaganza, and further opportunities to help members leverage AI and their domain expertise.
A special highlight of the evening was the induction of 11 new members to KE family through an oath-taking ceremony led by director membership Zaveena Lobo. The new members are:
1. Ajay Melric Noronha, high court advocate specialising in civil, commercial & corporate litigation
2. Denzil Lewis, co-founder & CEO of Varta Labs Pvt. Ltd., has expertise in machine operations and machine shop management
3. Eric Mascarenhas, founder of iClick Advertising, digital advertising professional
4. Giselle Megan Aranha, food & beverage sales executive at Marriott, with expertise in business development, client relations & communication
5. Jude Britto, vice president at RESIL Group, is expertise in manufacturing, sales,marketing, strategy and AI for business
6. Dr. Kiran Veigas, vice president & head of corporate marketing, branding and communications at Happiest Minds Technologies, with expertise in AI & technology marketing, branding, communications & PR
7. Rohan Philip Mathew, freelance sales & marketing consultant, specialising in sales & go-to-market strategy
8. Sharon Diana Pais, freelance data analyst with expertise in data analytics, business strategy and market research
9. Silvester Souza, project coordinator - products & platform at Impelsys, expertise is in product strategy, agile delivery & business analysis
10. Vinod Goveas, founder & CEO of Pinnacle Career Partners, a trusted career guidance experts who partners with students, parents and institutions in providing mentoring and support and
11. Heera Maria Alva, manager at Workforce Management at LTM, with experience in resource management, project allocation and business analytics.
The meeting also featured an inspiring life story shared by lead member Jyothi Menezes, highlighting perseverance, resilience, family support and commitment to one’s goals.
President Pramod D’Souza thanked the lead members and new members for their active participation and encouraged them to build stronger connections within the KE family. The meeting concluded with fellowship over dinner.
