Udupi, Sep 23: A one-of-a-kind reality show in the television history of coastal Karnataka has made a name for itself in every household. Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) presents 'Abhivyaktha', an oratory competition for high school students that has now reached a milestone in its season 1 journey.
Daijiworld Udupi Studio’s much-acclaimed high school oratory reality show has reached its grand finale, with six young and talented speakers emerging as finalists after a series of challenging rounds.
After successfully navigating the earlier rounds and the semi-final stage, six contestants—Yuktha R Bhat, Sushravya M, Adeesh M Shenoy, Dashami Shetty, Prateethi P S, and Manaswi Kulal—have secured their places in the grand finale.
Organised by Daijiworld Udupi Studio under the banner of Kishoo Enterprises, Abhivyaktha has carved a unique space among television-based competitions by providing a platform for high school students to showcase their oratory skills, confidence, creativity, and ability to express their views on diverse subjects.
The competition received an overwhelming response during the audition stage, attracting students from schools across the coastal districts and beyond. Following a rigorous selection process, the participants advanced through several rounds, where they were tested on their communication skills, clarity of thought, spontaneity, knowledge, and ability to present their opinions with conviction.
Over the course of the competition, the young speakers impressed audiences through extempore speeches, debates, discussions on thought-provoking subjects, presentations about their role models, and costume rounds. Their performances not only earned appreciation from the judges and viewers but also generated significant engagement across Daijiworld Udupi Studio’s social media platforms.
The grand finale will bring the six finalists together for the most crucial stage of their Abhivyaktha journey. The final round will once again put their communication skills, confidence, presence of mind, and ability to articulate their thoughts to the test as they select a personality to speak about and defend their thoughts on various issues.
The grand finale will be judged by a three-member panel comprising ace anchor and orator Alwyn Danthy, PhD student and national-level orator Shreyas Kotian, and leading political figure of Udupi district Neetha Prabhu.
Alwyn Danthy Pernal, the main judge of the reality show from the audition round to the finals, has evaluated hundreds of different topics presented by the contestants. He provided them with valuable suggestions and inputs to improve their public speaking, guiding all the participants throughout the season.
Shreyas S Kotian, a well-known orator since his college days, is another judge who has been part of many rounds, including the auditions and the grand finale. Along with them, many other judges from various places have dedicated their time to different rounds of the competition.
Throughout the competition, the contestants have demonstrated remarkable maturity and confidence for their age. Their performances have addressed a wide range of issues and subjects, while their ability to communicate ideas effectively has earned them a growing following among viewers.
The programme has also received considerable attention on social media, with performances from the young orators garnering millions of views across Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube, highlighting the audience's interest in meaningful and thought-provoking content presented by young voices.

The grand finale episodes will be telecast on the Daijiworld 24x7 channel every Thursday from 6 pm onwards, starting September 24.
