Panaji, Sep 24: The Bharatiya Janata Party has appointed national vice-president Dr Bharati Pravin Pawar as its new Goa prabhari (in-charge), with national secretary Anil Antony named saha prabhari (co-in-charge), as part of a wider organisational reshuffle.

The appointments were announced on Wednesday as the BJP reorganised its state-level leadership ahead of upcoming electoral contests. Pawar, a senior BJP leader from Maharashtra, will oversee the party's organisational affairs in Goa, while Antony will assist her in the role.

In a related appointment, Rajya Sabha MP Sadanand Shet Tanawade has been named co-in-charge of the BJP's Maharashtra unit.

The organisational changes are part of the BJP's broader reshuffle of state prabharis and co-prabharis, covering several states and Union Territories.

The appointments come as political parties in Goa prepare for the next Assembly election, with the BJP continuing its organisational activities in the state.
