Mangaluru, Sep 26: To mark its 83rd anniversary, the Konkani Natak Sabha (R), Mangaluru, is set to host a grand cultural evening, ‘Koglechi Yaad - Hasyancho Swaad’, on Sunday, September 27, at 5:00 pm at Don Bosco Hall, Mangaluru.
The event promises a nostalgic and entertaining experience featuring the golden hits of legendary Konkani composer and singer, the late Wilfy Rebimbus. Renowned vocalists Alwyn Noronha, Ivan Sequeira, Robin Sequeira, Meera Crasta, and Ronald D’Souza will render timeless compositions penned and composed by the Konkani maestro Wilfy.
Adding laughter to the celebrations, the comedy segment—‘Hasyancho Swaad’—will be presented by the acclaimed troupe Memory Mangalore, led by Mellu (Babuti) Valencia, alongside Richard Sequeira, Cletus Lobo, and Sapna Crasta.
A key highlight of the evening will be the conferment of the prestigious Michael D’Souza and Family Kalakar Puraskar upon three eminent Konkani personalities: Meena Rebimbus, Lawrence Saldanha, and Vincent Rebello. Additionally, the grand prize distribution for the winners of the KNS Annual Competitions will take place on the same stage.
