Mangaluru, Sep 26: Author Reshel Fernandes from Mangaluru, who has earned recognition at the national and international levels for her literary achievements, is set to receive an honorary doctorate in literature on October 3.

The honorary doctorate is being conferred in recognition of her contributions to literature through the publication of several books, including 'Bharat@2047: Role of Youth', 'Incredible Bharat: Vision of Viksit Bharat' and 'Voice of Nation: Youth and Politics', among others.

Fernandes is also a recipient of the Kittur Rani Chennamma State Award and has been honoured with several other awards at the national and international levels.

The Emerging Achievers Council, New Delhi, has invited her to receive the honorary doctorate at a ceremony on October 3 in the presence of distinguished dignitaries, including politician Vijay Sampla and Group Captain Rajiv Bhalla of the Indian Air Force, who is also director of Garg Aviation.
