Bantwal, Sep 27: Ahead of the protest scheduled to be held near B C Road under the Bantwal Town police station limits on September 28, the Dakshina Kannada district police have made elaborate security arrangements.
As part of the security measures, a police flag march was conducted in the B C Road area on September 27 to ensure law and order during the protest.
A total of 256 police personnel, including one additional superintendent of police, one assistant superintendent of police, eight police inspectors, 23 police sub-inspectors, 34 assistant sub-inspectors, 184 police personnel and five home guards, have been deployed for bandobast duty.
In addition, two SAF platoons, three DAR platoons and four KSRP platoons have been deployed as part of the security arrangements.
