Bike rider escapes serious injury after bus collision near Kaup petrol bunk

Kaup, Sep 28: A bike rider narrowly escaped serious injury after his two-wheeler was hit by a private express bus near a petrol bunk in Kaup on Sunday.

The express bus was travelling from Mangaluru towards Udupi when it collided with the bike as the rider was entering the service road.

Due to the impact, the rider was thrown onto the road, while the bike got trapped underneath the bus.

Local residents who noticed the accident rescued the rider. Kaup police visited the spot and conducted an inspection.
