Dubai, Sep 28: New Star Mangaluru officially unveiled its new team jersey and Match Day Polo at a special launch event held at Zabeel Park, Dubai, on Sunday, September 27.
The event marked an exciting new chapter for New Star Mangaluru, bringing together the club's management, coaching staff, players, supporters and well-wishers to celebrate the team's identity and ambitions for the upcoming season.
The programme began with a welcome speech by Siraj, a senior player of New Star Mangaluru, who also introduced the distinguished guests to the gathering. His opening remarks set the tone for an evening celebrating the club, its players and its growing community.
The chief guest, Shamsuddin Piligudu, graced the occasion, while SB Muneer Sunkadakatte attended as the guest. Their presence added significance to the jersey unveiling ceremony.
The event was attended by New Star Mangaluru manager Shafi Kalanja and Praveen Albuquerque, along with head coach Suhail Kadaba. New Star Mangaluru's players and passionate supporters also participated enthusiastically, with more than 60 people present at the event.
The newly unveiled team jersey carries the club's distinctive red and blue colours, symbolising the identity, passion and spirit of New Star Mangaluru. Alongside the playing jersey, the club also unveiled its Match Day Polo, introducing a fresh official look for the team's match-day appearances.
The owner of New Star Mangaluru, Rayan Melchior D'Souza, was unable to attend the ceremony as he was out of the country. His absence was felt at the celebration, and the organisers expressed that having him present would have made the event even more colourful and memorable. Despite his absence, the event brought together the wider New Star Mangaluru family in a spirit of unity and celebration.
The jersey and Match Day Polo launch concluded with an atmosphere of enthusiasm and togetherness, with players, management, supporters and well-wishers coming together to celebrate the club's new chapter.
