Kodialbail, Sep 28: MLA Vedavyasa Kamath said people should consider themselves blessed by dedicating themselves to the pious cause of the grand Kaliatta Mahotsava, which will be held next year at the historically renowned Kudroli Sri Bhagavathi Temple after a gap of 75 years.
He was speaking as the chief guest at the committee formation programme held at the Kootakkala auditorium on Sunday in connection with the Kaliatta Mahotsava to be held at the Kudroli Sri Bhagavathi Temple in Kodialbail in 2027.
Kamath said the Kaliatta Mahotsava will be held through various religious rituals and that people will have the opportunity to witness such a rare religious event. He appealed to everyone to extend their cooperation for the successful conduct of the festival.
The Achara Pattavaru of the Bhagavathi Temple inaugurated the programme by lighting the traditional lamp.

Muktasar Sujan Das Kudupu welcomed the gathering. Y B Sundar delivered the introductory address, while general secretary Sudhir B Jappu assisted in the formation of the committee.
Office-bearers and members of various Bhagavathi temples, village associations, youth forums and women's forums were present.
