Mangaluru, Sep 28: The NSS Unit of the Institute of Port, Shipping & Logistics Management (IPSLM), Srinivas University, organised the Nasha Mukta Yuva campaign – ‘My Health, My Pride’ on September 25 as part of the initiative to promote health awareness and an addiction-free lifestyle among youth.

As part of the programme, two expert sessions were conducted. Gayathri CH, deputy superintendent of excise, Mangalore Sub-Division-1, delivered an awareness session on ‘Impact of Addiction on Good Health', highlighting the harmful effects of addiction and the importance of making healthy and responsible choices.

Dr Pallavi Uday Naik, MD, general medicine department, Srinivas Hospital, conducted a session on ‘Importance of Nutrition and Good Health', focusing on healthy nutrition and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

A general health check-up was also conducted for the students by Dr Pallavi Uday Naik and Dr Kajol. A total of 99 students benefited from the health check-up.

The programme provided students with valuable awareness about nutrition, good health, the harmful effects of addiction, and the importance of making healthy lifestyle choices. The active participation of students, NSS volunteers, faculty members, and the support of the resource persons contributed to the successful conduct of the programme.
