Washington, Sep 29: The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has added fugitive Satinderjeet Singh, also known as Goldy Brar, to its Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list and announced a reward of up to $1 million for information leading to his arrest.
The FBI said Singh is wanted for his alleged involvement in the Lawrence Bishnoi Organised Crime Group, which it alleges is involved in violent activities in Southern California and across the United States and Canada. The bureau said the group has been linked to targeted assassinations, shootings, murders, kidnappings, extortion, assaults and trafficking of narcotics and weapons.
According to the FBI, Singh is based in the United States and is the alleged North American leader of the group. A federal arrest warrant was issued by the US District Court for the Central District of California in Los Angeles, where he faces charges including Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organisations (RICO) conspiracy, conspiracy to interfere with and attempted interference with commerce by extortion, and conspiracy to distribute and possess controlled substances.
The FBI said Singh is the 543rd fugitive to be added to its Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list. It said he is considered armed and dangerous and is known to reside in California and various parts of Canada.
The bureau's wanted bulletin lists several aliases for Singh, including Goldy Brar, Satinderjeet Singh Brar, Satinder Jeet and Satinder Jit Singh Brar. He was born in Punjab, India, and speaks Punjabi and English.
The FBI said its investigation into Singh and other alleged members of the group involves the FBI's Los Angeles Field Office, the Los Angeles Police Department and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, along with other domestic and international law-enforcement agencies.
The FBI has urged anyone with information about Singh's whereabouts to contact the bureau or submit information through its official tip channels.
