Beltangady, Sep 29: An unidentified human skeleton was found near Padi in Nalkur village on the evening of Monday September 28.

The skeleton, including a skull, bones and clothing, was found near a stream in the agricultural field belonging to Vinod, a resident of Padi in Nalkur village, Balanja.

Suresh, a resident of Majjenibailu-Padi in Nalkur village, has been looking after Vinod’s land. The skeleton was discovered while the agricultural field was being cleared using a machine.

Venur police and the SOCO team visited the spot and conducted an inspection.
