Mangaluru, Sep 29: The South Western Railway (SWR) will run a special train between Bengaluru and Madgaon via Karwar to meet the additional passenger demand during the long weekend in the first week of October.
According to a notification, Train No. 06597 Bengaluru Cantonment–Madgaon Express Special (train on demand) will leave Bengaluru Cantonment at 11.50 pm on Thursday (October 1), reaching Karwar at 4.50 pm and Madgaon at 6.10 pm on Friday (October 2).
For the return journey, Train No. 06598 Madgaon–Bengaluru Cantonment Express Special will depart Madgaon at 8.40 am and Karwar at 9.32 am on Sunday (October 4), arriving at Bengaluru Cantonment at 11.55 pm the same day.
The special train will have one AC two-tier coach, three AC three-tier coaches, 10 Sleeper Class coaches, seven general Second Class coaches and two luggage-cum-brake van coaches.
