Mangaluru, Sep 30: Kavoor police seized around 16 grams of MDMA from a man who was found standing suspiciously near the tarred road leading from Bondel in Markada village towards Moodushedde on Tuesday September 29.

The accused has been identified as Mohammed Irfan A K (26), residing at Ajjinadka village, Kotekar post, K C Road, Ullal, Mangaluru.

The police legally seized around 16 grams of MDMA found in his possession. The estimated value of the seized narcotic substance is around Rs 1.60 lac.

In this connection, a case has been registered at Kavoor police station under Crime No. 128/2026 under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, and further investigation is underway.

The accused had previously been booked in the following cases: Ullal police station Crime No. 02/2020 for night-time theft; Punjalkatte police station Crime No. 79/2020 for night-time theft; and Ullal police station Crime No. 25/2024 for consumption of ganja.
