Mangaluru, Sep 30: SJEC men’s & women’s table tennis teams participated in the VTU Mangaluru Division Table Tennis Tournament organised by SMVITM, Bantakal on 29 September 2026 and men’s team has emerged as champions & women’s team has claimed the third place in the table tennis tournament.

The teams showcased remarkable skill and determination under the guidance of Vaneesha V Rodrigues, physical education director (PED), and Sudheer, assistant PED.

The winning squads featured talented players from UG programs:

Men’s team: Rian Angelo Arouza & Shaman Veigas (7th Sem CSE), Vian Thomas Mascarenhas (5th Sem CSE), Rakshan Shetty (3rd Sem CSDS) and Kanish S Suvarna (1st Sem ECE).

Women’s team: Nikitha Risha Dsouza & Delicia Riona Noronha (7th Sem CSE) and Melria Smitha Gonsalves (5th AIML).

The management of SJEC has congratulated both the teams and the physical education directors for bringing laurels to the institution with this outstanding achievement.
