Sullia, Sep 30: The local police have arrested a warrant accused who had been absconding for the past year to evade court appearances.
The arrested individual has been identified as Surendra, a resident of Kanakamajalu in Sullia. He was wanted in connection with a case (Crime No: 33/2021) registered at the Sullia police station under sections 354, 323, 324, 504, and 506 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
Sullia police station staff, including head constable Raju Naik D and police constable Somayya Hiremath, apprehended the accused in Alatti.
Following his arrest, Surendra was produced before the court, which subsequently remanded him to judicial custody.
