Mangaluru, Oct 1: A candidate appearing for the Karnataka Police Constable (Civil) recruitment process-2026 has been accused of producing fake documents during the physical endurance and physical efficiency tests held at Mangala Stadium in Mangaluru on September 28.

According to the complaint, Yajesh B J Rai, son of Jayachandra Rai and a resident of Kodimbala in Kadaba taluk, appeared at the registration desk with a call letter bearing hall ticket number CPC5225446.

The personnel on duty at the registration desk, CPC-446 Mahadev and HC-46 Purnesh, checked the candidate's details using the software provided by the Karnataka Examination Authority. However, his details were not found in the list of eligible candidates.

The candidate's name, registration number and application number were also not found in the 1:5 list prepared for the Police Constable (Civil) Recruitment-2026. As a result, he was not allowed to participate in the physical endurance and physical efficiency tests.

The call letter and other documents produced by the candidate were examined and appeared to be fake on preliminary scrutiny, according to the complaint.

The matter was recorded in the proceedings of the physical endurance and physical efficiency tests held on September 28, and a complaint was filed seeking legal action against Yajesh B J Rai for allegedly creating and producing fake documents with the intention of cheating in the police recruitment process.
