Mangaluru, Oct 2: The Bantwal Catholic Credit Co-operative Society Ltd inaugurated its new branch at Bajpe on Friday, marking the opening of its 11th branch and strengthening its banking and financial services in the region.
The new branch, located on the first floor of Newlight Complex on Bajpe Main Road, was inaugurated in the presence of society office-bearers, directors, members, community leaders and well-wishers.
The inauguration ceremony began with prayers and blessings led by Fr Andrew D’Souza, parish priest of St Joseph Church, Bajpe, followed by the ceremonial ribbon-cutting. The security room was inaugurated by Bajpe town panchayat president Lokesh Poojary, while the computer facility was inaugurated by Catholic Sabha Mangaluru Pradesh president Santhosh D’Souza.





























Addressing the gathering, Fr Andrew D’Souza, who was also one of the founding directors of the society, recalled the organisation’s early days and its journey of growth.
He said the society initially faced challenges in building public confidence and encouraging people to become members and deposit their savings. However, through the dedicated efforts of successive boards of directors, staff and members, the society gradually earned people’s trust and expanded its operations.
Recalling the society’s early journey from its first branch to the opening of its 11th branch at Bajpe, Fr Andrew congratulated President Jeevan Loyd Pinto and the entire team for their continued efforts and growth.
The programme was presided over by society president Jeevan Loyd Pinto. Chief executive officer Celine Gracy D’Souza, vice-president Valerian Barreto, Bajpe branch manager Jason Ruben Fernandes, directors and other dignitaries were present.
As part of the Bajpe branch inauguration, the society is offering special financial schemes, including an attractive 10.50% interest rate on 400-day deposits for a limited period.
The society also offers gold loans, deposit-based loans, property mortgage loans, housing construction, purchase and repair loans, used and new vehicle loans, along with other financial facilities.
Special deposit schemes are available with interest rates ranging from 4% to 9.50%, depending on the tenure. A special cash certificate scheme allows deposits to double over 100 months.
Senior citizens, widows and ex-servicemen are eligible for an additional 0.50% interest, while members can also avail themselves of Yashaswini insurance facilities.
The society provides modern banking facilities such as RTGS/NEFT, core banking and SMS services, besides locker facilities at its B C Road branch.
With the opening of the Bajpe branch, the Bantwal Catholic Credit Co-operative Society aims to make its financial services more accessible to people in and around the area and continue its journey of growth with the trust and support of its members.
