Konkan Traders opens in Dubai, bringing Mangalurean, Goan & Maharashtrian products under one roof

Dubai, Oct 2: Konkan Traders, a new retail and wholesale foodstuff outlet bringing traditional flavours from the Konkan region to the UAE, was officially inaugurated on September 26, in Karama, Dubai.

The inauguration ceremony began with the blessings of Fr Victor Fernandes of St Mary’s Church, Dubai. The chief guests for the occasion were Joseph Mathew and Dayan D’Souza of Mukamar.

The programme was compered by MC Joel Pinto of Vamanjoor, while the vote of thanks was delivered by Pradeep Barboza, representing Konkan Traders.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony was performed by Robert D’Souza, owner of Konkan Traders, in the presence of his wife, Kiran D’Souza, and their sons, Ruben D’Souza and Regan D’Souza, along with the chief guests, family members, friends, well-wishers and members of the community.

The inauguration witnessed an enthusiastic gathering of around 200 guests, who came together to bless and support the new venture.

Konkan Traders aims to make a wide range of authentic food products from the coastal regions of India easily available to customers in Dubai. The shop offers a variety of Mangalurean, Goan and Maharashtrian food products, including traditional spices, masalas, rice, pulses, snacks, sweets, pickles, oils and other regional specialities.

With its tagline, ‘From Konkan Shores to Your Door’, Konkan Traders seeks to bring the authentic taste and traditional food culture of the Konkan region closer to families and communities living in the UAE.

The venture is managed by Pradeep Barboza and supported by Fabion Santosh, who have played an active role in establishing and developing the outlet.

The management expressed heartfelt gratitude to Fr Victor Fernandes, the chief guests, all dignitaries, friends, customers, well-wishers and everyone who attended the inauguration and extended their blessings and support.

Konkan Traders looks forward to serving the community with quality traditional products at reasonable prices while continuing to bring the flavours and memories of the Konkan region to Dubai.
