Udupi, Oct 2: The Udupi district police organised a cyber awareness cycle rally on Thursday to create awareness among the public about cybercrimes and the precautions to be taken to prevent online fraud.
The rally was flagged off by Udupi additional superintendent of police Sudhakar Naik at Tiger Circle in Manipal. The cyclists proceeded from Tiger Circle through Kadiyali to Board High School in Udupi, spreading awareness about cybercrime and safe digital practices among the public.




Speaking on the occasion, Sudhakar Naik urged people to remain vigilant against cyber fraud and cautioned them against sharing OTPs, passwords, PINs or any other confidential codes with unknown persons. He stressed the importance of exercising caution while carrying out digital transactions to avoid falling victim to cyber fraud.
Manipal Police Station inspector Mahesh Prasad, cyber-crime police station inspector Nilesh G Chavan, women police station inspector Raghavendra, along with police sub-inspectors and personnel from various police stations in the district, were present.
The cycle rally was organised to strengthen public awareness about cybercrime prevention and promote safe and responsible digital transactions.
