KMC Hospital to offer free geriatric consultations for senior citizens from Oct 5 to 10

Mangaluru, Oct 3: The department of geriatric medicine, KMC Hospital, Attavar, will be organising a one-week free geriatric consultation from October 5 to 10, in connection with the International Day of Older Persons (IDOP). The initiative is being organised as part of Older Adults Week, with the objective of promoting healthy ageing, preventive healthcare and greater awareness about comprehensive healthcare for older adults.

As part of this initiative, free geriatric consultations will be offered to older adults aged 60 years and above from October 5 to 10, between 9:00 am and 12:00 noon at KMC Hospital, Attavar, Mangaluru.

Geriatric medicine focuses on the comprehensive healthcare needs of older adults, addressing not only individual medical conditions but also the overall physical, functional and social aspects of healthy ageing. Regular health assessments and timely medical intervention can help identify health concerns at an early stage, promote independence and improve the quality of life of older adults.

The department of geriatric medicine, KMC Hospital, Attavar, has invited senior citizens aged 60 years and above to make use of this special initiative and take an important step towards healthier ageing.
