Vasco, Oct 4: Vasco police have registered an FIR against three persons for allegedly cheating a Dabolim resident of Rs 2.5 lakh by promising to secure a job for her son in Germany.
According to the complaint filed by Perpetua Socoro Esperanca, the incident occurred on July 31 at Chicalim. The accused have been identified as Cedric Telles and Julius Telles, both from Cortalim, and Ralph Anthony Menezes of Chinchinim.
The complainant stated that Cedric and Julius introduced her to Menezes, who allegedly posed as a recruiting agent. The accused allegedly induced her to transfer Rs 2.5 lakh through RTGS by promising employment for her son in Germany.

After receiving the money, however, the accused allegedly stopped responding to her calls and gave evasive and vague explanations. The promised employment was not provided and the money was also allegedly not returned.
Vasco police have registered an FIR under Section 318(4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
Further investigation is being conducted by PSI Nikhil Dessai of Vasco Police Station under the supervision of PI Vaibhav Naik.
