Udupi: Passenger dies after falling from moving train at Indrali

Udupi, Oct 5: A passenger died after reportedly falling from a moving train at Indrali railway station here on Monday October 5.

The incident occurred when Train No. 12284 Nizamuddin Express, operating between Delhi and Ernakulam, was passing through Indrali railway station at a slow speed. A passenger travelling in the second coach reportedly fell from the moving train. The train does not have a scheduled halt at Indrali.

After receiving information about the incident, Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel alerted social worker Nityananda Olakadu. He rushed to the spot and shifted the unconscious passenger to the District Hospital in Ajjarkad. However, doctors who examined him confirmed that he had died.

A voter ID card found in the possession of the deceased identified him as Dinesh, with an address in Hosangady of Beltangady taluk.

The deceased person's relatives have been requested to contact Manipal police station.
